Former Miss Argentina Dies After Plastic Surgery

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

38 year old Solange Magnano who is a former Miss Argentina sadly died over the weekend after experiencing complications from plastic surgery. Solange Magnano who thought that the operation was “no big deal” just wanted a slightly firmer behind.

This just shows that no matter how simple and uncomplicated some types of plastic surgery might seem or is marketed by doctors, it’s still surgery and is very dangerous.

Solange Magnano, who is also a runway model, is described by her peers as a woman who had everything and is now dead because of plastic surgery leaving behind her husband and eight year old twins in mourning.

The former Miss Argentina got plastic surgery in Buenos Aires Thursday and was rushed to the hospital on Friday for pulmonary embolism. She died on Sunday. It is speculated that the doctor who performed the procedure on the former Miss Argentina may not have been a real professional.

Today, there is a growing number of plastic surgery procedures performed in Argentina mainly due to the influx of foreigners seeking inexpensive cosmetic enhancements.

So before you go under the knife, think first if it’s really worth it. Personally, I don’t judge people if they had plastic surgery or not and I think a lot of people share the same view. It’s a personal decision. If you think it would make you feel better then it’s okay.

But is it worth taking the risk? If you think that it is, then take the necessary precautions. Check whether your doctor is certified and has ample experience. Don’t try to be cheap as your life is on the balance. After the procedure, be mindful of what you’re feeling and any unusual side effects. Ask friends to stay with you for a while so they could observe you too and help you go back to the hospital if needed.
